MEET FOUNDER AND CHEF MATTHEW MERRIL, AGE 13
Hi! My name is Matthew Merril, and welcome to the website for Stacked Macarons! Thank you so much for checking my brand out. You may be wondering, "who is this kid?" or "is he the one making the macarons?". To answer both questions, my name is Matthew, and I am a self-taught chef who has appeared on numerous Food Network shows, and yes, I currently make all of the macarons sold. My cooking TV debut was in "Kids Baking Championship" season 2 (2015-2016), where I was a finalist. I then went on to compete in "Holiday Baking Championship", "Chopped Junior", and made an appearance on Valerie Bertinelli's cooking show, "Valerie's Home Cooking". I won the macaron challenge on "Kids Baking Championship" at age 11, and since then, they have become one of my favorite desserts to make. I started this company in July 2017, and make a diverse flavor range of macarons. My macarons are crafted at LoKL Gourmet in Mclean, Virginia, where they are also sold.
